The import template is based on your organization\u2019s configured financial system, Chart of Accounts structure, and default LOS range.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The page displays a summary of these settings before you download the template, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Financial system<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>COA structure<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Default LOS range<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If these settings are wrong, go to <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/upstreamreporting.app\/support\/?p=21057\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"21057\">LOS Settings<\/a><\/strong> first, update the configuration, and then return to the Import page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 1: Download the template<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Start by clicking <strong>Download Excel Template<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The template is tailored to your current Upstream+ settings. This helps make sure the columns and instructions match the structure expected by your organization\u2019s LOS setup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After downloading the template:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Open it in Excel.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Paste or enter your accounting and production data.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Review the required columns.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Save the completed file.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Return to Upstream+ to upload it.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Use the latest downloaded template whenever your LOS Settings change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 2: Upload and preview your file<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the <strong>Upload &amp; Preview<\/strong> section, drag your completed Excel or CSV file into the upload area, or click the upload box to browse for the file.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Upstream+ accepts Excel and CSV files. After you select a file, the system begins checking the file structure and preparing a preview.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The preview helps you confirm that:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The correct file was selected<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The rows are being read correctly<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dates and numbers are formatted properly<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Required columns are present<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The data is ready to import<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If the preview does not look right, stop and fix the file before importing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 3: Choose an import mode<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Before importing, choose how Upstream+ should treat rows that may already exist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Append missing rows only<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Use <strong>Append missing rows only<\/strong> when you want to add new records without replacing existing matching rows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is the safer option when you are adding recent activity or importing data that should not overwrite prior records.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Overwrite matching rows<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Use <strong>Overwrite matching rows<\/strong> when the uploaded file should replace existing records that match the same key fields.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Matching is based on your configured key fields, such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Property<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Accounting Date<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Account<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Product<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Use this option when you are intentionally correcting or refreshing previously imported data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Append Sheets<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In some import situations, Upstream+ may ask which sheets should be included or replaced from the uploaded file.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Use the <strong>Append Sheets<\/strong> section to choose the sheet data that should be processed during this import.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Only select sheets that you are ready to import.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Financial system mismatch warning<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If the uploaded file appears to come from a different financial system than the one configured in <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/upstreamreporting.app\/support\/?p=21057\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"21057\">LOS Settings<\/a><\/strong>, Upstream+ may show a warning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For example, if your organization is configured for one accounting system but the uploaded file looks like it came from another, review the warning carefully before continuing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If the warning appears:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Confirm the file is the correct file.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Confirm <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/upstreamreporting.app\/support\/?p=21057\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"21057\">LOS Settings<\/a><\/strong> are correct.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Download a fresh template, if needed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Re-upload the corrected file.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Do not continue with the import unless you are confident the file matches your setup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Import Preview<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>Import Preview<\/strong> table shows the data that Upstream+ detected from your uploaded file.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Use the preview to review the file before clicking <strong>Import Data<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Check for:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Missing values<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Incorrect dates<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Incorrect account names<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Unexpected blank columns<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Wrong sheet selection<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Numbers that appear in the wrong column<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Data that appears shifted or misaligned<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If something is wrong, fix the source file and upload it again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Import Data<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After the file has been uploaded, mapped, and validated, click <strong>Import Data<\/strong> to begin importing the data into Upstream+.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The button may remain disabled until the uploaded file passes the required validation checks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Do not click Import Data until you have reviewed the preview and confirmed the import mode.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Processing Import modal<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After the import begins, Upstream+ opens the <strong>Processing Import<\/strong> modal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This modal shows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Current import status<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Processing message<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Progress percentage<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Row count<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Current processing phase<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Keep the modal open while the import is running.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When the import is complete, you may see an option to close the modal or go directly to the LOS Statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">After the import finishes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After a successful import, go to the LOS Statement or related reports to confirm the new data appears as expected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Recommended checks:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Open the LOS Statement.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Confirm the correct property or field is selected.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Check the reporting month range.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Review totals for reasonableness.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Open related Budget vs Actual or Well Summary reports if applicable.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If data does not appear, check the selected filters, date range, and import file contents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Troubleshooting<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The Import Data button is disabled<\/strong>: The file may not have passed validation yet. Review the preview, required columns, and any visible warnings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The preview is blank:<\/strong> Confirm the file contains data in the expected sheet and that it was saved correctly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The columns do not match<\/strong>: Use Manual Field Mapping if it appears. Otherwise, download a fresh template and copy your data into the correct columns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The wrong financial system appears:<\/strong> Go to LOS Settings and confirm the selected financial system and COA structure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>I imported the wrong file<\/strong>: Use the appropriate import mode on a corrected file, or contact support before making additional changes if you are unsure how to reverse the import.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Some rows are missing:<\/strong> Check the date range, required fields, validation errors, and whether the file was imported using Append mode.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\r\n\t\t\t<div
