Follow the <strong>Instructions<\/strong> tab for required columns (Property, Accounting Date, Account Code, Amount, etc.).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Save the file as <code>.xlsx<\/code> or <code>.xls<\/code><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 3: Upload &amp; Preview<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In the Import page, drag &amp; drop the file into <strong>Upload &amp; Preview<\/strong> or click to browse.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The system will validate required columns, date formats and numeric fields. A preview of the first rows is shown so you can confirm column mapping.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 4: Validate &amp; Import<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Once the upload is complete, the &#8220;Import Data&#8221; button will be enabled.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select <strong>Import Mode<\/strong>:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Overwrite matching rows<\/strong> \u2014 replace existing rows that match on key fields (property, period, account).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Append new rows only<\/strong> \u2014 insert rows that don\u2019t match existing keys.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>Import Data<\/strong>. The system queues a job and validates\/ingests the file. The Import Jobs panel shows status, rows processed, and errors.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Once the import process is complete, click the blue &#8220;View LOS Statement&#8221; button to see how the data has been imported.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>NOTE<\/strong>: Depending on the file size, the validate and import process can take 10-15 minutes to complete.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Want to change the layout? No problem, just use the <a href=\"https:\/\/upstreamreporting.app\/support\/?p=21062\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"21062\">Drag &amp; Drop LOS Layout builder<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tips &amp; Best Practices<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Use the COA mapping and saved templates to move from manual mapping to automatic mapping across imports.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For very large files, the direct-to-S3 upload and chunked worker will handle these files robustly, but it can take some time. Grab a coffee and let Upstream+ do the work. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Troubleshooting<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Import job is \u201cProcessing\u201d for a long time<\/strong> \u2014 Depending on the file size, the validate and import process can take 10-15 minutes to complete.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Many unmapped rows<\/strong> \u2014 check the Instructions tab and make sure you&#8217;ve mapped your chart of accounts correctly.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Numbers mismatch after import<\/strong> \u2014 confirm COA parsing option and that Product mapping is correct in <a href=\"https:\/\/upstreamreporting.app\/support\/?p=21057\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"21057\">LOS
