The Upstream+ application mirrors each unique company Role and job title. To create or edit custom company Roles, use the navigation panel to\u202fselect Administration >> Manage Roles.\u202f\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The page displays a list of your company\u2019s Roles in the order that they were created.\u202f\u202fHere, current Roles can be edited by selecting \u201cEdit<\/em>\u201d from the Action column, or you can duplicate a Role by selecting “Clone”<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Select the \u201cAdd New<\/em>\u201d button at the top-right\u00a0of the page to create a new Role.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Enter the Role\u00a0name, a description of that Role,\u00a0and the status.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. For feedback<\/a> purposes, select Role Scored In<\/em><\/strong> categories. If feedback categories<\/a> have not yet been created, leave it blank, this can be filled in later.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. \u202fAdd Behaviors\u00a0(which are the desired\u00a0behaviors\u00a0exhibited in that Role, like \u201cpersistence\u00a0in\u00a0follow-ups\u201d for a sales Role)\u00a0and skill\u00a0(which would be like \u201cability to use CRM\u201d for a sales Role).\u00a0\u00a0Select the “Examples” button to select from our curated list of top behaviors and skill\u00a0based on industry research. To filter the list begin by typing the Role name, select the square next to the behaviors you would like to add and click “Add Selected” button to add to the Role being created.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Select the Role\u2019s Access Permissions\u00a0(these grant users with this Role differing permissions allowing them to access some or\u00a0all of\u00a0the features). See the Permissions Glossary<\/a> for a full list.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Select \u201cAdd New Role<\/em>\u201d to create the Role.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
